Click the link below for the summer reading assignment. I have been at the AP World Summer Reading for the past week (today is June 7) and I have some GREAT things in store for you next year!
Moooooohooowaaahahahahaaa!
For definitions, DO NOT COPY DIRECTLY. For my class, I would like you to read the definition and then put it into your own words. Have fun

I’m hoping this is where I ask you questions, but with no one else leaving comments as a clue I guess I’ll just go ahead and use it. At the end of the assignment you told us not to plagiarize, but does that include the definitions? The reason I ask is because all teachers are different when it comes to definitions: some don’t care, some want it in ‘your own words’, etc. So if you could please clarify what you mean by plagiarism in terms of definitions I would really appreciate that. Thanx and please reply!

SEE BELOW FOR MR NEEDLES ANSWER
There are 3 main points to this assignment.
#1: To give us all a head start on the content of the course. 12000+ years of history in one year. Plus, classes this year a 10 minutes shorter which means we have about 30 hour or 30 fewer days over the course of the year to cover all of the information.
#2: To introduce you to the concepts of the course. This course is based upon themes. We dont have time to teach all of these so you need to have an understadning of them prior to entry into class.
#3 To read a book that emphasizes one of the key skills of the course, the ability to interpret and analyze history from different perspectives.
