I think the most important element of civilization technology and the progression of technology. With technology, we can ensure that the civilization will survive longer.

I would think culture would be the most important element for civilization. The definition of culture from the Fellmann, Getis, Getis Glossary (c.2001)is “A society’s collective beliefs, symbols, values, forms of behavior, and social organizations, together with its tools, structures, and artifacts created according to the group’s conditions of life.” All the elements inside of culture lead to the fundamentals of civilization today: Technology, architecture, government, religion…and so forth.

I agree with Kelsey… without every piece of religion, technology, etc. we wouldn’t be as far as we are today. we would have changed but not to this piont.
